We are one of the oldest family run enterprise in the city of Mangalore, with currently the third generation having entered the family business.
Renowned for our line of FMCG distribution with association of companies like Johnson& Johnson, Reckitt, Nivea, Godrej, Brillon, Unciharm, Nutrine chocolate, PCI etc, we have now diversified into new verticals like franchise of icecream brands.
Furthermore, we have strategically extended our presence into the two-wheeler rental space through a strategic partnership with Royal Brothers, assuming a pivotal role as a vehicle partner
We have also set up a small scale chocolate manufacturing unit at Attavar catering to individual as well as corporate clients under the label-CheekyChocolateandCo.

Our Story
Over the Years
1961
Founded
- Mr. Ganapathy Nayak, hailing from Manel village near Gupur, co-founded a distribution firm after working under a private firm. Despite facing setbacks and even insolvency, his unwavering resolve allowed him to continue distributing Nutrine chocolates and Mangaram biscuits.
1983
Renamed to Kamakshi Traders
- Mr. Madhava Nayak joined his father in the business, prompting them to rename the firm Kamakshi Traders, in honor of Mr. Ganapathy Nayak’s wife
1991
FMCG Expansion
- Shifted to Bunder, Mangalore. With over 300 clients in his FMCG distribution career, he has established strong associations with renowned companies including Johnson & Johnson, Nivea, Reckitt, Godrej, Abbott, Cafe Coffee Day, Wipro, ITC, HUL, Danone Nutricia, and PCI.
2012
Modern Trade Distribution
- Relocated to Attavar and expanded into modern trade distribution, serving outlets like Spar, Vishal mega mart, Big Bazaar, Dmart, and more

New Generation
- The business welcomed Mr. Srikanth Nayak, marking the entry of the third generation into the company.
